College & Career

Northmead Elementary School is part of the No Excuses University (NEU) network. Each classroom is claims a school where post secondary age students can earn an advanced degree. College rallies are held throughout the year where school banners are proudly waved and college chants performed as part of showing school spirit.

Students learn about post secondary educational systems as they earn reading awards based on college degrees. They progress from an Associates Degree to a Bachelor's Degree, then a Master's Degree, and finally a Doctorate Degree in reading. This is an accomplishment that our CUBS are recognized for with the presentation of "brag tags" to be displayed all year and taken home at year's end.
