Distance Learning will have a different focus this year. Students will be expected to participate and turn in assignments and teachers will teach new content on an ongoing basis. Below you will find some tips to help children have a positive and successful Distance Learning Experience.
Before Class:
- Establish a consistent routine for children. This should include getting up an hour before school begins every day, eating breakfast, brushing teeth & hair and getting dressed.
- Prepare learning station with class materials. Make sure the environment is free from distraction, has all materials for learning and the chromebook is charged fully/plugged in.
- Log on to the WebEx station on time.
During Class:
- Follow the "Distance Learning Behavior Matrix" Rules to ensure behavior is appropriate for class.
- Pay attention during instruction and ask questions at an appropriate time.
- Participate in discussions and practices. Stay involved.
- Complete tasks during Asynchronous work.
- Be Present, you can't learn if you aren't there!
After Class:
- Make sure all classwork/homework/practice work is completed.
- READ 30-40 minutes daily
- Double check Google Classroom to ensure all your assignments are turned in.
- Email teachers any questions you may have.
